The Round the Houses, was a motorcycle championship event that was held in Collie since 1948. It consisted of several races around a road circuit bringing the quiet streets of Collie to life for one thrilling day. Spectators and competitors came from all over Australia to join in this exciting and entertaining weekend of motorcycles.
Round the Houses brought between 2000 to 3000 enthusiasts to the Collie River Valley showcasing this as a great place to live and play. Unfortunately the race is no longer held due to insurance and other constraints.
2016 is the twentieth anniversary of the last ?Round the Houses? Motorcycle Race in Australia which was held in Collie. On November 12 and 13, 2016 a twentieth anniversary celebration will be held at the Collie Recreation ground, Quit Collie Speedway and MSW ? Collie Motorplex.
The weekend will consist of:
